The Heart's Cry

The World of Pearl

The Battle

The Flower

You Know Me Not

The Heart's Cry

All I ever wanted
----was------love

But life----has been about
a----constant----shove

Someone to care
When life----became

So hard----to bear
Someone----to always------be there

Someone who would listen
When tears would----threaten to----glisten

Someone near
Someone----who thought me dear

Too much to ask?
To great a-----task?

I've traveled on such----a far-----journey
Hoping and waiting----to see

Love----to----find and ----rescue
me

Hope never dies
Because------hope------never----cries

There are the sighs
experiencing----those christians ----lies

Hope deferred makes the heart sick
christians caused me to experience----sick

So----I wait
anticipate

Fairy children------
never give up----hope

part of them-----knows
just how----to----cope

When called upon----to fly
I will be ready

and say

Here I am------It is ------I

wake----to the infinity of-----love
and the

beauty--------of the------

sky

The World of Pearl

Aggravated and irritated
abused----and negated

They pontificated
and related

How they were----right
and all----so uptight

She celebrated her right to speak up and say what needed-----to be said
They celebrated ignorance----she's better off----dead

She came out----of the pearl
----as that young girl

In that place----she found----
a silence so profound

That it-----screamed----her name
They must have been insane
Deja Vu all over----again

Her pain was not----silenced but spoken----out loud
Speaking her mind to that----cruel crowd

More pearls of wisdom----yet to come
Someday an ending and she will be----done

The Battle

Joshua fought the battle of Jericho
She fought the battle not so long----ago

Out in the world
banner----unfurled

March around the city
They marched without any pity

Blow the horn----and stamp your feet
Throw the rocks on her body and beat

The city----has fallen----now
She will arise----because God will allow

They are fallen
and cannot get up

All that is left of their bitter cup

One day the other trumpet will sound
She be standing-----free and----unbound

Distress and Betryal

Could you not stay----with me----and pray----awhile?
Can you not go----that extra----mile?

They sitting there----unbelievably-----able to----smile
His words----they were using someone to defile

He sweat great drops----of blood
His emotions----rolling over Him---as a great----flood

They wouldn't----stay awake
For God's------or anyone's------sake

Their garden----full of stones
(and dead men's bones)
Unable to ----hear any pain or moans

Of those----in----distress
Unwilling----to bless

Or stay with me and----pray

Or speak to me-----and say

What happened-----and let us----awake
and your----burdens on our shoulders----we'll take

So----I prayed alone
They have----much to atone
In that----lonely and desolate-----garden of stone

For----they-----were the stones----which at me----were----thrown
They were the seeds----which could never----be sown

The Flower

They threw----Joseph----into a pit
Brushed their hands off----and said----well----that is it

They brushed their hands off----and said
In our pit she will fall----she soon will be----dead

They wondered----at his coat----of many----colors
Wondering why----there were no others

He became a King----with strength----and power
She----a bud who became----a flower

coat of many colors----he was wearing
The word of God----they thought to be sharing

From the pit to a kingdom----with love
They----still in----that pit----looking everywhere ----except-----up above

You Know Me Not

I was a child----born in a manger
You made quite sure----she----was a stranger

To your----love and ----care
----all so----unfair

They brought me----gifts----of frankinsense----and myrrh
Your gifts of judgement----said nothing----of her

They bowed----low and worshipped-me
You tried to bow her low and keep her----from me

The light of love shown around me
light----you extinguished----and you couldn't ----see

On that----glorious----night
Where was your sight?
(Did it take flight?)

My mother----hummed----a lullabye

I heard her sigh
I don't want you to cry
I am coming for you I plan to die

They----came for me
But it----was a lie

The angels----sang
Your tallys----rang

Vengeance----is mine
You will see the sign

I will repay
In Heaven one day
